Tungsten carbide is harder than normal tool steel and can be used to grind even stainless steel with ease.

For jewellers and carvers a tungsten carbide burr will outlast a normal HSS by many times.

Tungsten Carbide burrs and rotary files are used in various applications for deburring, cylinder head porting, mold making, tool and die, metalworking, tool grinding, foundry, aerospace, automotive, dental laboratory, wood carving, farriers, metalsmithing, sculpting, welding, chamfering, jewellery manufacturing, die casting, and metal casting.

During use, periodically dip the burr into a cutting lubricant to keep it cool and extend the life of the burr.

Store the burr in its plastic container when it is not in use to avoid chipping it against your other tungsten carbide burrs.

When you are working with burrs safety glasses must be worn.
